HAPSTONE 10mL POLY-CRYSTALLINE DIAMOND EMULSION.

Hapstone Diamond Emulsions (often branded as Hapstone Poly-crystalline Diamond Suspension) are premium, water-based stropping compounds engineered for micro-polishing and refining knife edges. They cut quickly, won’t scratch your blades, and are highly effective on all blade materials, including modern super steels.

Why Hapstone?

Hapstone suspension is denser than its counterparts, which prevents it from spreading into clumps on the strops surface and ensures maximum effect. Hapstone emulsion suspension is based on premium Poly-crystalline diamond powder with strict grain size control. It exceeds national standards and abrasive industry peers in key grain size parameters.

How to Apply.

1. Prepare: Ensure your strop is clean and free of previous compounds.

2. Apply: Pump a small amount of emulsion directly onto the strop surface.

3. Spread: Spread the liquid evenly across the surface (a finger or a old bank card or alike work well)

4. Dry: Allow the emulsion to dry completely (usually a few minutes) before beginning to strop.

Emulsion Application Tips & Tricks.

Supplied in a 10mL pump bottle. These emulsions are designed to be used sparingly. Apply in a well-lit area to minimize over-spray and maximize coverage.
To charge, hold the bottle approximately 10–15cm (4–6″) from the surface and apply a light, even coat, shaking bottle regularly during use. Work quickly, as the emulsion begins drying immediately and fully sets within minutes.
Do not rely solely on wet discoloration to judge coverage – lighter areas may still contain effective over-spray. Aim for consistent surface discoloration by maintaining an even spraying distance and uniform application throughout.
If excess overlapping occurs, promptly redistribute the emulsion with your fingertip to ensure an even coat and cover any missed areas.
Re-apply as needed to restore like-new cutting performance, particularly after cleaning with a strop eraser that comes highly recommend for strop upkeep and longevity. Once fully renewed and emulsion is dry, your good to go!

*SSC. highly recommends that after the first charge when your strop inevitably becomes contaminated with material and is no longer preforming as expected SSC. highly recommends cleaning your strop with a strop eraser to remove any built-up debris or swarf prior to any re-application of emulsion. *
